This place opened in 1925 when Robert “Big Bob” Gibson — a railroad worker — started smoking barbecue in a hand-dug pit in his backyard in Decatur. People would literally gather around makeshift tables nailed to trees just to eat his food.

We came to Pittsburgh for a local concert and were very impressed by the airbnb! The location was in a perfect spot if you wanted to explore the city. The Airbnb was clean and nicely remodeled. It had a lot of amenities in it as well like coffee and creamer that we liked. The hosts were very friendly and responsive! I would definitely stay at this Airbnb in the future.

Long weekend stay at Andrew’s place was great. We stayed in the 2nd floor unit, which was clean and looked exactly like the pictures. Wonderful city views from the large windows and from the deck. Easy to find and appreciated the free parking on the street in front of the building.

Sophia’s house in Decatur was very comfortable for our party of six. The layout was nice and open with thoughtful touches everywhere. Beds were comfortable. Both bathrooms were nice and had plenty of supplies. Kitchen was nice size. When we asked about breakfast suggestions the host was very quick to respond and sent several options including addresses so I easily found them. We would happily stay here again!
